How long does an email migration take?
It depends on the number of mailboxes and total data size. Most small businesses complete in 2–4 days, mid-size organisations in about a week, and large tenants in 2–3 weeks. We run the bulk copy in the background while your old email keeps working, so the timeline never means downtime for your team.
Will I lose any emails during the migration?
No. Your existing mailboxes stay live and keep receiving mail throughout the project, and nothing is deleted from the old server until every mailbox is verified on the new platform. We do a full copy, then a final delta sync at cutover so even the last-minute emails are moved.
Will there be any email downtime?
No downtime when done correctly. We use a coexistence approach — both systems run in parallel, we pre-stage all data, pilot-test a few users, then cut over the MX records (usually overnight or over a weekend). A backup-MX queue holds any inbound mail during DNS propagation and delivers it once the switch completes, so nothing bounces.
Can you migrate from Rediffmail to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Yes — this is one of our most common migrations and we've done it for many clients. Rediffmail Pro doesn't expose a standard IMAP setup the way other providers do, which trips up DIY attempts and generic tools. We handle the Rediffmail-specific server settings, extraction and mapping so your mail, folders and structure land correctly in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Do you migrate contacts, calendars and shared mailboxes too — or just email?
We migrate everything that matters: emails with their full folder hierarchy, contacts, calendars, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, aliases and (where supported) rules and signatures. Yes. We migrate from any IMAP/POP source, cPanel/webmail (Hostinger, GoDaddy, Bluehost and similar), Rediffmail, and on-premise or hosted Exchange, to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho Mail. Large mailboxes that fail with built-in tools are handled with proper batching and admin-level access.
What happens to emails that arrive during the switchover?
Before cutover we lower your DNS TTL so the change propagates fast, and we keep the old system active for at least 72 hours afterwards to catch late mail. A backup-MX queue captures anything sent mid-cutover and replays it to the new platform — so you don't miss or bounce a single message.
Do you update MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records?
