Choose Google Workspace around storage, meetings and control
Gmail on your own domain is only one part of the decision. A team sharing large design files, a business recording client meetings and a company retaining messages for an investigation need different capabilities. Review those needs before comparing prices.

This is a shortlist, not an exhaustive catalogue. Business Starter, Standard and Plus support up to 300 users; ask about the applicable edition if your organisation is larger or considering another regional offer. Pooled storage is shared across the organisation, not a separate unlimited allowance for each service.
New subscription, renewal or reseller transfer?
- New subscription: confirm domain ownership, administrator accounts, user names, groups, aliases and DNS access before provisioning.
- Renewal: check assigned licences, storage growth, commitment end date and contractual seat-change deadlines. Compare the renewal price and service scope.
- Reseller transfer: establish eligibility and the current billing arrangement. Transferring subscription management is not the same as moving Gmail or Drive into a new tenant.
- Platform migration: agree a separate scope for mail, calendars, contacts, files and permissions. Test representative data before changing mail routing.
Compare quotations on the same basis
Ask for the exact edition, licence count, commitment, payment frequency, taxes, renewal terms and any promotion end date. A lower first-period price may not remain the renewal price. Setup, data migration, user training and ongoing support should be itemised. Confirm current Gemini features in the selected offer instead of assuming every AI capability is included.
Keep control of your Workspace account
Your business should retain an agreed administrator-access and recovery process. Use separate named administrator accounts, review access regularly and document domain and DNS ownership. Before staff leave, decide what happens to their data, shared-file ownership and retention obligations. A deleted account is not a licence-cost strategy until its data and contract implications have been checked.

Google Workspace migration: what should the handover include?
For a platform move, ask for a written inventory of mailboxes, aliases, shared mailboxes or groups, calendars, contacts, Drive files and ownership, and third-party apps using the old sign-in. Run a pilot with representative users before changing MX records. The handover should confirm mail flow, access to shared files, mobile sign-in, recovery accounts and the rollback contact. A simple reseller transfer does not require this data move.
If you need only a renewal, request a separate quotation showing the edition, paid seats, commitment end date, billing frequency, support and any promotional period.
