Device Management in India — MDM & Unified Endpoint Management
Manage and secure every phone, tablet, laptop and shared device your business runs — from one console. We supply halofort UEMX, an Indian-built platform from Tectoro Consulting, Hyderabad, with cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment. INR billing, GST invoice, deployment and support across India.
Most businesses discover they need device management the hard way: a laptop walks out with client data on it, a shop-floor tablet gets used for YouTube, or an auditor asks for an accurate list of every device holding personal data and nobody can produce one. Device management is the control layer that answers those questions — who has which device, what is installed on it, whether it is patched and encrypted, and how fast you can shut it down when it goes missing.
The halofort UEMX suite we supply
halofort is modular. Licence only the layer you need now and add the rest later.

MDM, EMM or UEM — which do you actually need?
- Mobile only? If the devices that worry you are phones and tablets — field staff, delivery teams, shop counters — halo.mobil is the right starting point.
- Laptops in scope? The moment Windows or Mac patching, encryption evidence and software inventory matter, you want halo.walix. This is usually what an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 auditor is really asking about.
- Logins the weak point? If shared passwords and leavers keeping access are the live risk, halo.ideon addresses it before more device control does.
- Data leaving the business? Where the concern is copy-paste to personal mail, downloads to unmanaged machines or contractor access, that is halo.guard.
You do not have to buy all four. Tell us the problem you are trying to stop and we will scope the smallest thing that solves it.
Where device management pays for itself
- Schools and colleges — shared Chromebooks and tablets across classes, locked to learning apps, reset between terms. Pairs with Google Workspace for Education and classroom displays.
- Retail and hospitality — billing tablets, kiosk terminals and digital signage that must do one job and nothing else.
- Frontline and logistics — rugged handhelds across depots and routes, provisioned before they ship and tracked in use.
- Healthcare and life sciences — shared clinical devices with an auditable record of who used what, and fast wipe when one goes missing.
- BYOD and hybrid offices — work data in a managed container on a personal phone, with the personal side untouched.
Platforms covered
Android · iOS and iPadOS · Android TV · Windows · macOS · Linux · ChromeOS. Capabilities vary by platform — we confirm the specific functions you need against the operating systems you actually run before quoting.
Why buy through Invitty
- Scoped honestly — we map the four modules to your real device estate, not the largest bundle.
- Deployment engineering — enrolment planning, policy design and integration with your directory and existing security stack.
- Indian vendor, residency options — built in Hyderabad, with cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment to discuss where DPDP Act or sector rules apply.
- GST invoice & INR billing — transparent pricing with input-credit benefit.
- One partner afterwards — licensing, support and renewals in one place, across India.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between MDM, EMM and UEM?
MDM manages mobile devices — enrolment, policies, apps and remote wipe on phones and tablets. EMM adds application and content management around that. UEM extends the same console to laptops and desktops, so Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS are governed by one policy set alongside mobile. Most Indian businesses start at MDM and move to UEM when laptop patching and compliance reporting become the bigger problem.
Does device management replace antivirus or EDR?
No. Device management controls configuration, inventory, applications and access. Endpoint security detects and responds to threats. They are complementary and usually both required — device management enforces that the endpoint protection is actually installed, current and not disabled.
Which platforms can be managed?
Through halofort UEMX: Android, iOS and iPadOS, Android TV, Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Capabilities differ per platform, so confirm the specific functions you need against the operating systems you actually run rather than assuming parity.
Can we manage personal (BYOD) phones without seeing personal data?
Yes — this is what work-profile and containerisation modes are for. Corporate apps and data sit in a managed container that IT controls and can wipe; the personal side stays private and is not visible to the administrator. Agree and document the boundary with staff before rollout; under the DPDP Act it is good practice to state what the employer can and cannot see.
Is device management relevant to DPDP Act compliance?
It can support it. The Act requires reasonable security safeguards for personal data. Device encryption, screen locks, controlled app installation, selective wipe of lost devices and an accurate device inventory are all practical safeguards. Device management is one control among several, not compliance on its own — see our DPDPA page for the wider programme.
Can halofort be deployed on-premises or with Indian data residency?
The vendor lists cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment. If residency matters for DPDP obligations or a sector regulator, confirm hosting location, data flows and retention in writing as part of the proposal rather than assuming a default.
How do kiosk, digital signage and shared devices work?
Kiosk mode locks a device to one application or a small set, so a tablet at a billing counter or a screen in a showroom cannot be used for anything else. Shared-device modes let staff sign in and out of the same handset across shifts without mixing data. Both need the device ownership and enrolment method decided up front.
Can I get device management pricing in INR with a GST invoice?
Yes — we quote in INR with a GST invoice for input credit, usually the same day. Share your device count by platform and whether you need mobile only or mobile plus laptops, and we will scope the right modules.
